Good point. The comics were great as well, and though they have gone in a different direction several times from the original story line (I.E> Lori is still alive, Shane died a lot later in the show than in the comics, and more), they have managed to keep it amazing and really intriguing. Of course, the fact that the author of the Walking Dead comics is also the main writer on the show allows them to make such changes and still keep the original drama, action, and feel of the comics alive. By the way, for those who love the show but haven't read the comics before, find them online via torrent or auction site and check them out. They are fantastic, even for people like me who usually don't read graphic novels or comics. I was turned on to the comics after talking to a friend about the show, and within the span of 4 days read every Walking Dead comic in print. And as I mentioned before, I don't really like most comics or graphic novels. But the author does such an amazing job telling the story and making the characters interesting, and not campy the way so many comic characters are, that I couldn't stop until I had read them all.
