Hey Guys,
I'm new here, so it's likely you haven't seen me before and I wanted to ask you guys something. Is the entire game community a bunch of hostile, pre-emptive faggots. I mean its fine if you guys are, I'm from /b/ I'm used to it. It's just that today I was venturing farther into the forest than I ever have, just exploring and trying to find a rabbit or two. I come across a small group of houses and see two hearthlings minding their own business. I go up to them because they are the first players I've seen in the game. They make me stop where I am, which is normal I guess. They accuse me of stealing their boat (which I never did) and I try to tell them otherwise. One guy says he memorized who I was, which was impossible because I had never been there. The proceed to collect rocks and take aim at me. So I pissed off back home. So, is everyone as hostile as these nigs?

That's basically how most of the community is. There are plenty of people who are perfectly friendly, but most people are either out to kill whoever they can or running from the people who are able to do that.

There is a supergrid of the map which is "protected" by a massive faction known as Dis. It's called the "peaceful" supergrid, you can head there if you can't handle the hostile environment.

IMPOSSIBRU! The only thing I've stolen was seeds. The one time I used a boat I built it. I then used that boat to aquire aforementioned seeds.

Ya, pretty much the entire community is like this. Those that aren't are locked up in tidy little brick boxes and will never meet you.

Not true actually, I've boated around for weeks enjoying the hobo's life. There are a lot of nice people out there who'll help you if you ask. In fact, there are a bunch of people that I met that are like, aggressively nice.
Just be polite and strike up conversations, go everywhere for a while before you settle down, best way I can think of to get started.

People always make up lies and excuses to get what they want.
