The life of the Happy Hermits.

Postby rogoku » Mon May 28, 2012 12:47 am

Hello there! I am the leader of our little hermit crew. Currently there are two of us. My name is Michael, and my friend Chris. I'll be taking the pictures, but you might see some of Chris.

Well, we are no longer hermits! We have 4 people! Sorry for the lack of some updates. I'm putting a picture at the bottom of this, something special. Someone gifted us a palisade before he quit, and we are working on turning it into a reststop.

Tale 1: The quest for rabbits, and tour of the town

Us hermits are extremely good at finding wild animals to capture

Tale 2: The journey of the prey.

So today I was wondering around looking for curios and whatever I can find. I managed to get a silkmoth of both male and female. I caught some chickens, and took down a fox. I was heading to my boat when a strange man appeared. He shot an arrow at me, I sprinted at my boat dropped the fox and sped off. He got in his boat and started chasing after me. He eventually gave up, but that was scary. I did also manage to get a ladybug.

When I got back to the shacks. I wondered around and found a little ant hill. I was in need of curios so hoping for anything I could get I raided. I only got 3 little pieces of ant food. :( But that's better then getting nothing.

So I hearthed after raiding and discovered a wild Chris! He was about to go foraging along the river but was overstuffed. So I told him we could always use wood blocks. He got a little bit of trees cleared. Here is a picture of Chris.

So Chris went off fishing, and got some fish. He continued down the river and met a fellow. This fellow was PISSED. He shot an arrow at Chris, luckily he missed, and chris was able to boat away. This was pretty intense for him. All because he wanted another sturgeon.

So I was out hunting, with my new sling, and managed to take down a big animal.

Awesome thread, but it needs more text! Create a story using screenshots and your imagination.

Tips:
Cover minimap.
Use this for screens. (Faster, best qual, and crops instantly.)

There will be storys. Me and Chris have some pretty wild adventures of near death encounters over something stupid like a rabbit. As for the minimap, everyone around us knows who we are. And anything big that I see is abandoned. But thanks for the feedback. I will cover the MM when I am not at home EX: at someone elses place.

I can always appreciate people trying to make little histories of their journeys and experiences in the game. However, there is something I have to ask you. Do you know the meaning of the word hermit? Because it sounds really weird when you say "our hermit crew". I mean, at least in the game, people are divided between hermits (living by yourself or with your own alts), and villages/settlements (when a group of people live together).

Also, as people mentioned, more story. Right now it is just a group of screenshots without much story.

Good luck with the project, though... : ^)

Yes.. I know what a hermit is, but really, we are just hermits who are living together temporarily. Chris is basically learning from me, and could move out at any time.

The Enders client has it's own button that you can use for Screenshots.

When wanting to take a SS, press the "end" button on your keyboard.

It will then show up in your HnH folder. There are also options to hdie the User Interface and others.

Quite helpful.

And, as everyone else has said, more story. Right now, it's just a few screens with some basic outlines.

I prefer using TinyPic for all of my picture sharings. When you upload a picture you can choose what size you want it with some pre-set options. Such as for Avatars(100x75), Thumbnails(160x120), Website/Email(320x240), Message Boards--which is these forums--(640x480), 15" Screen(800x600), and 17" Screen(1024x768). It even provides you with an HTML code for Websites, an IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards, a URL for E-Mail & IM, and a Direct Link for Layouts.

Yes, I realize I sort-of sounded like an sales-man..haha. But hey, just providing some useful information :D

I usally go with the Message Board option as it--as I said--gives you an IMG Code for easy posting.
