3D artist needed for game. (can be read even if you're not.)

Hello everyone. Even if you're not interested in joining us, there's still some general info here as well.

If any mod feels this breaks the forum rules, feel free to lock it.

Me and my co-developer Lucas are looking for a 3rd member of our group. We've over the course of the past 1 year been working on a new game, but now we have decided to port the game to isometric 3D.

So why am I telling you this? Because, when it comes to 3D modelling, I am about as useless as a Q 10 branch, and Lucas's skills are limited to creating crudely made rocks, so we need a 3rd guy who wants to help us out and join our "group". Please note that both me and Lucas are making this because we think it'd be fun, and we don't want to profit off of it in any way, therefore you must accept that you will also be working on this for the entertainment and fun, not for the money.

First off, let me tell you about the game, and what we plan to do with it:

We were originally part of another "company" which was working on a game similar to H&H, but due to intern financial disagreements, me and Lucas decided we'd split off and begin on our own project, New Beginnings. (best name ever.)

New Beginnings is similar to H&H in some ways, as it is, after all, inspired by H&H. We feature all the elements you know and love: permadeath, open PvP and persistent, inter-active, player-modifiable world. It is currently set to Europe in around year 1500-1600, but the world will ,hopefully, eventually expand to include (almost) all climates and cultures.

Now, let's get into how you actually join us, if you're interested. We're looking for someone who can both model and animate at a mediocre level. You don't have to be a professional, and we'd certainly be happy to even receive a reply to this request. You must be able to create all sorts of things, including trees, animals and people (and the animations), rocks, houses, plants, mushrooms, ruins, caves and rivers, to mention some. You must be co-operative and generally social, as we like to have a good relationship between us developers. To register for the offer, shoot me a PM here, on our board (http://s4.zetaboards.com/GJS_Studios/index/ , I'm the guy named Sacre there.) or mail me and Lucas at NewBeginningsOfficialGame@gmail.com (no spam mails, please.) with a description of yourself as well as a few examples of your work. You can also add me (sacredoom) and/or Lucas (gen.lucas.shadow) on Skype, if you're more into an actual IM conversation, rather than messaging. We'll be sure to answer all requests and announce the chosen both here, on the game forums and through mail.

We hope to hear from you soon! Ask us any questions you might have by either PMing me, reply to this thread, e-mailing us or contacting us via. Skype.

EDIT: Lucas asks you to kindly also tell us what software you use in your request.

Hopefully. :)

We've got a lot of stuff down over the past couple of weeks, so no worries.

Good luck in the search, sir! Too bad you guys had a falling out. I was trying to keep an eye on your progress. (I'd offer what I have, as I've found I have a knack for 3D Modelling, but it's just not my thing. I prefer programming and design, so haven't really worked at getting good and making a portfolio.)

Oh, and if you don't mind me asking: from the GJS forum link you posted, will you guys continue on under the same forums or be setting up elsewhere? I'd love to see where you go with things.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Wouldn't having a 3D artist be something that you would want to take care of before, oh I don't know, deciding to completely rework the game in 3D?

Why the heck would you decide to make the game 3D if you don't even have a 3D artist?
