Strange Death? wtf?

Okay, today just happened the weirdest thing!
This morning i logged in as usually with my char, played a bit, harvested stuf and bla bla, then logged out.
2 hours later i try to log in and i found that my char is dead. WTF. Cannot pick him in the start menu. Ok. made a noob char, ported to my place near my secondary, trying to look for the corpses.... No corpses. Got in the house, nothing stolen, nothing borken. Cool.
Then i started thinking of the ways that i could of died.
1) Summoned for stealing - nope, didnt steal lately, no hearth fire.
2) Summoned for some other thing - can't do anything else except just tresspassing, but you can not summon if a guy just walks on your territory (right?)
3) Starved - i logged out + no corpses
Then with my friend we started looking for my corpes (guy had my scent becouse we were testing thieving on his land). To my surprise, the track led us to a town called Purgatorio. I have never been to that place before, not to mention stealing something from them.
Please help, how did my character die and how did he appear in a town where i have never been?????????????????????????

I summoned you with theft scents because you had no hearthfire. Build a hearthfire next time and that won't happen.

To liberate on what SilverFlame said;

If you have no hearth fire, anyone can summon you anywhere they want. Therefore it's better to build a hearth fire somewhere safe, as the risks of getting killed are higher if you have no hearth fire.

Oh and btw, did you find those scents in the village with open gates where i sent you with my secondary Garen? Whom you also tryed to kill? >_>

haha I didn't know it was you guys. I'll give you your key back, no problem. I think I found the scents around where I ran into you yesterday. It'll be another hour or so until I log on though, playing some max payne 3 multiplayer right now.
