Where did you discover Haven & Hearth?

Wondering where various players originally came from.

I was part of an internet gaming community for around 10 years (Started with lumthemad.net and ended with corpnews.com) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lum_the_Mad http://wiki.onlinegamers.org/index.php?title=Diaspora_of_Lum_the_Mad most of us started MMoging with Ultima Online and/or Everquest and all stayed together through the years and various forums until we all kind of grew up, got married, had kids etc etc etc then the community slowly fell apart. Anywho, during the last gasps of the last community forums someone mentioned Salem and we all laughed about the concept of a perma-death MMog and I followed the Salem link here and the rest is history.

Bonus question that may be only answerable by Jorb or Loftar. Who are the characters/are playing the characters doing the various things in the Haven & Hearth front page video??

On the off chance any of you are old enough to remember lumthemad.org or any of the diaspora forums, I am/was Zenscrotum or Zen.

Some nerds from my work kept talking about it all day every day and I overheard thousands of conversations about walls and beehives and clay and raids and decided to secretly take information I had gleaned from their conversations and use it to track them down in game and troll/kill them. As soon asI started that idea was thwarted by the complete unituitiveness of the game mechanics and absolute vastness of the game world (W3). I ended up sticking around and making my own little homestead because I liked building things and designing layouts and giving away free food/gear to newbies.

Cool deal, part of my reason for wondering is wanting to get some new blood in here. about...6-8? months ago some guy posted a youtube video tutorial or some shit and we got a bump of like hundreds of players for a bit. granted, i doubt 10 of them still play but was refreshing for a bit.....
