What other games do you like or have played?

What other MMOs/RPGs/video games do you like?

My first RPG was Dragon Warrior, which I still love. I've played DW1-4, Dragon Quest 7 and 8. The english accents/voice actors in Dragon Quest 8 is one of my favorite things about that game. I never cared much for Final Fantasy 1 for the NES, it was too different than DW1. I've played/like almost every Legend of Zelda game. Final Fantasy 2 (US version) was probably my favorite for a long time, until Final Fantasy 3 came out. I really liked Secret of Mana 1 and 2, Secret of Evermore. I've played Final Fantasy 1-10, Final Fantasy Tactics (and the psp version), Final Fantasy 12 & 13, etc... I never got into the DS Final Fantasy Tactic games, they look really good tho (<3 the art style).

I liked Ogre Battle, Disgaea 1-3, and other SRPGs that most people never heard of(Jade Cocoon 2 is probably one of my favorite, and i know Jade Cocoon 1 was shit). IDC for RPGs much nowadays, SquareEnix has went to shit. The gameplay and battle mechanics of rpgs today make me want to vomit. I liked the Harvest Moon series, and have played most of them. I'll stop here for now, lol.

I grew up on games like Shining Force, E.V.O., Earthbound, Soul Blazer, Konung, and Day of the Tentacle. I moved onto games such as Deadlock, Command and Conquer, Sim City, StarCraft, and Civilization from there towards the later half of the 90s. My first MMO was Lineage: The Blood Pledge and my second was Ultima Online. I've played through a slew of hyper-grindy mmos since then ranging from Silk Road Online to Maple Story. I've played the hell out of Warcraft 3, Mabinogi, Dwarf Fortress, Terraria, Civ4, and Counter Strike.

Out of everything, there is nothing more that I wish for and nothing more that I hope never happens than more Shining Force games. It was a great series but the studio has long since become terrible.

I never thought I'd see the day that I meet another person who played Secret of Evermore, played that game for years as a kid.

My list of top games in order of sheer brute awesomeness (excluding this game from the list ofc):

Hexen (1st one ONLY), Blood (1st one ONLY), Ultima Online, Space Station 13 (Discovered this one recently), Daggerfall, Morrowind, Duke Nukem 3D (the new Duke Nukem is a major embarrassing disappointment), Quake, Doom 1 and 2 (fuck Doom 3), Heretic (only the 1st one), Mortal Kombat 1 and 2 (after MK2, fuck the rest, including the new metro-sexual one), and ShadowBane.

Oh the memories!

Most of my favorites have been mentioned in this thread already, especially Tech's post. Shining Force 1 & 2 were a couple of my favorite rpg's ever.

A few I would have to add: Shadowrun (Snes & Gen), King Arthur's World, Uncharted Waters 1 & 2, Darklands, Jagged Alliance series (not the latest one), Unreal World, Space Rangers 2, Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines, Fallout 1 & 2. All of these I have spent countless hours on.. and still hold up pretty well today in my opinion. I still play through them from time to time.

The only mmo I played a lot of that hasn't been mentioned is A Tale in the Desert. I played that like crazy!

I never got into those games, I remember seeing the ads for them. I think I have Lufia for gameboy color on my xbox. From the other post you made it would seem like you love/loved your Gameboy color :lol:

I liked Shining Force 1&2, but I was a snes kid and my friend wouldn't let me keep his Sega Gen forever. E.V.O. is a great game, I've been trying to get my wife to play it for a few months now. My son likes to evolve his animal constantly :roll:

Last year at work on my lunch break I'd play Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle quite a bit. I never played Soul Blazer or Konung.

My wife also played SoE and beat SoE back in the day. Probably not nearly as much as me tho. 7 years ago I ripped grafx from that game, can't remember what I was going to do with them or what cd I burned them to. One of the things about SoM and SoE is the music, I liked all of the music from both of those games. SoE music strikes me as being very dark, SoM's is quite the opposite.

I played most of those, except Space Station 13. Never heard of that one... It looks interesting tho. I stopped caring for MK series after it went 3d, I think that was fater MK Trilogy for ps1.

I loved that game, tho it seems like it was an unfinished game.
