check ports TCP 1871 and UDP 1870 - make exceptions in firewall/router settings - make sure your AV isn't blocking...

no problem with compiling yourself and offering it - that's why there is Sourcecode and Forks

but for ppl having problems it's better to use the "Standard" Ender to troubleshoot everything else before thinking it's Ender related in my opinion
