over 251 players?

over 251 players?

been gone for a bit. So I come back to check if anything is new and i see 251 players. Am i missing something. cause i logged on with me main, and i still have my settlement and such, so no new world. So was wonderin if something got fixed/changed?

The lag is gone. How did you miss that?

It's reached a high of 360, but it's settled down. I'm a little sad because it isn't as big as i hoped. I think the bug fixes and W7 will be the only way to bring the population in the thousands.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I agree, most people aren't going to bother coming back unless there is a new world. The previous lag & current exploits have made coming back to the current world much less enticing, even with no more lag.

I still think the growth from an avg of 75 players to an avg of 350 is pretty incredible, especially considering just one player can make such a big difference in this type of game. Maybe give more time for our hearthlings to network. 
It is nice to rest your weary bones from time to time. It is nice to lay down your burdens. It is nice to have a seat.

I think if they fix bug rams and make claims decay, it would probably spike over 1k

Everyone is waiting for W7 because every second person can palibash now.
It's no fun starting over just to get destroyed because everyone can bare-handedly wreck your shit on a whim. And when there are people actively going around doing it...
all of the clay spots will be found/taken/farmed to depletion, so there's no building brick walls.
No escaping the greifers, no fun to be had, really.
