Lack of Updates

Postby Insomnium » Sat Oct 24, 2009 8:24 pm

Just wondering, how long until u guys start actually developing the things u said you were going to develop? Because I've only been playing H&H for a few weeks now and i had all these questions about the game, so i looked at the How Do I forum and read people basically ask all the questions that I had; such as is there/ will there be bigger houses, barns/coops, animal domestication, pets, or practice dummies. But the answer to all the questions is that they are "Not implemented yet." Unfortunately these questions were asked MONTHS ago. I understand that these things take time, but how much time? Could u give me like a date for when they will be implemented? Because as good as H&H is, these things would make it a lot better.

See the
No development tonight?
thread.
The Devs are getting back to the basics.
I am glad, early game play gets stale fast.

H&H is a great game. The fact that it isn't widely advertised and I just "happened" to see its name mentioned in a game forum makes it all the more sweeter. I enjoy playing this game and I usually can't wait to play each day. It's like the MMO I've been searching for my entire gaming life.

Sorry, what was the question?

They have a nasty knack for releasing things half baked, They are taking the initiative to have discussions and organized updates now.

A few months ago there were no walls and people had invincible forts just by having kilns. - They added destruction before they added walls and as a result many areas were robbed blind.

It was a week or so later that walls were created.

When they made the new map they included quality which is brilliant, and swimming which is fair, but the network of rivers cutting off any and all uncrowded hunting grounds. Without boats the game was relatively unplayable, especially after people clear cut areas all over. the explorable supergrid for low level players.

Now that boats are in and the game is once again fairly balanced, they can relax and think things through clearly. It will benefit us all in the long run.

Yea, and then they introduced a travel system which..changed nothing for older players with good chars -you just need wine or beer now instead of nothing- and made it almost impossible to settle far away and being able to trade for newer players.
And then, instead of making something players have asked desperately for, like animal breeding, caravans for easier trading, seedbags or whatever, they make a, for newer players _completely_ , for stronger players almost, useless ancestral worship system... I mean.. wow i can glow for 3x3 tiles around me during a night for wasting tons of goods? Or summon bread for tons of food i waste for offering?

Or you can be a monster killed, suffering little loss, and be able to summon the full power of your previous character upon your current one.
