Joojoo, it's overkill dude and a fuck ton work. 1 Main with the combat stats with survival and exploration, 1 crafter alt with all the bells and whistles for farming, cooking, crafting and then 1 mining alt with a heap of strength and smithing.
EDIT: It also makes for somewhat easier food distribution.
Develop on main: Str, Agi, Con, Per, Int. When you have enough int point to handle you curio studies, stop. I also quit per and con* at ~100 or so (unless you want to be a high grade ranger, then continue per). Continue developing str and agi from there on only. Agi for porting purposes, but mostly, the higher your agi, the shorter your action cooldown bar in combat. Imho, agi is the most valuable ability stat in the game. Str you want up for breaking shit down and putting your opponent on his ass asap after breaking his def bar so that you don't have to chase him around for half a day while he is screaming like a girl, disrupting the neighbourhood peace.
On your crafting alt you don't need str, at all. You smack per for cooking, dex for trees and psy for jewelry and table items (forget the skill name now). A touch of int to help him study while you don't have a robe to buff him as well as a bit of agi to port to necessity areas. Not port outside, this toon will be your most valuable character, you lock him up, hide him away and protect him.
Your mining alt is quite obvious. Str str str and some con for when the roof comes down... and it will.
* At this point in time lot of noobs, especialy the type that think they actually know what they're talking about are having pulpetations about my con statement. The most important rule of combat is NEVER LET YOUR OPPONENT BREAK YOUR DEF BAR, if he does, you are dead anyways, if he doesn't your amount of HHP does not matter. I.e. you don't need over 9000 con, it is overrated and the wasted energy could have been applied to more useful stats.
