This was recorded by another villager on a foraging alt a while ago.

We've been told. Some notes on how to replicate would be sweet.

This is what happens when you "tame" a deer by shooting it to the point of running only to get out of your boat and have it return to you shortly after it runs off of your screen. It will follow you anywhere and will not fight back. For some reason when this one returned it began to make the chopping sound as if it was trying to destroy the player's bodies to get closer to them lol.

These, along with boars and bears are currently being used to break authority objects like crossroads.

Players have the most soak while they are alive, just let the deer hit you for awhile and you'll poof eventually.

If that's true, I would love to see a video of them going poof.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I also PM'd both Jorb and Loftar as well as PMing them on IRC but I took the time to upload the video so why not let the forum see it as well :)

Also amusing that we can use the destroy action on other players, and animals can attempt to destroy us.

Still haven't figured out what happens if the destroy action finishes XD

Update on destroying people:

When you adventure > destroy and click you're able to interact with any other player
You'll run up and destroy but no timer will appear
It makes the chopping destroy noise, but will only do this once. You have to continue to click on them to destroy or it will stop after the first tick.

I tested wearing a pickaxe on a miner character with 155 str and no black skills on an alt wearing clogs and these were the results

I tried at least 20 times to destroy the body standing but no damage was done to him, or his armor
I KO'd the alt and tried again with the same result
I had the alt log off while in combat for the same results

---------------------------------

I tested with a pickaxe and a character that had all black skills and criminal acts turned on. He had roughly 80 str.

The same results took place with the black skill alt as with the miner

---------------------------------

Looks like the game recognizes that players are destroyable now but will not actually damage them.
Later in the world it may be useful to try again with a sledgehammer on a character with much higher str in an attempt to one hit whatever hp they may potentially have.

I doubt the damage matters, you can one-hit dead bodies easily.
