Pro Jarreds Reviews (( New players ))

So this super famous god among men reviewed this game and how amazing it was and now I'm willing to bet you are going to have a hoard of new players coming in.
This game just seems so satisfying and rewarding and I am wondering if the Devs of this game are starting to relize what a massive plug they just got from such a well known internet celebrity.
I mean this might be one of the last times someone looks at the servers and sees a mere 600 players onlines.

New blood is nice, but you gotta realize the Haven community is not trying to "make a name for ourselves" in the gaming world.

There's a reason why we're prickly and insular as a group.
Lucky: haven is so quirky
Lucky: can be so ugly, can be so heartwarming
Sevenless: it is life

the server population will go up for a while, but 90% of the new players will quit when they die.

are they still working on the game, or are they satisfied with just what they have done, cause the wiki hasnt been updated since 2011... Made me worry that the game wasn't functioning at first.

Also I dont think that making a name for itself is a bad thing, I mean iv been looking for games like this for years... and looking hard! and this went under my radar for years.
Iv played dwarf fortress for years and years and it made me crave games like this for so long but iv been unable to locate one, if the game had been a little more well known then I would have been able to find it.
So I think that in the end it would be cool for new players to have been able to find it for the experience... But i can see how new players can be jerks and ruin it for more serious players.

I love perma death, more games should use it... but it tends to scare off a large majority of players who dont have my patients, I just with i had been able to find this game years ago, I have searched for indie games like this since playing Dwarf fortress.

It reminds me a bit of Ultima.

Bob Dole wonders who you are talking about.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy
