They say he struggled till the end, doing his Tai Chi exercises in his last hour. One of the best songwriters IMO. Personally, I prefer his early works with Nico.

every news article on him (gg, so many popping up!) is reminding me of the day i was so pissed off but still tried to "listen" to metal machine music album. (i ofc couldnt, and now i find lou's comment somewhere saying "nobody i know did" and im even more pissed.)

Tonky i was living with a guy who was a huge LR admirer - for him MMM was one of the biggest pieces of music - so you might imagine how often "i did it" ;)
to be honest my flatmate was an electronics freak and audiophilic so i was enjoying it on a real sophisticated sound system
