Ring of Brodgar park

I think that we should choose an area near the RoB and plant alot of trees, grass, and flowers and just set it aside as a place where new players can view what the game is really like outside the mess of claims and buildings near the RoB. We need to make a good impression on new players, and maybe this will help a few stay. We of course need someone to build a claim or village to protect these trees from griefers.

If we can't do that, can we at least have a large road leading to the wilderness so new players know how to get away and find some space to build?

The goon educational authority isn't a park. It's a learning facility for goons, and no one wants to trespass because they fear the goons will kill them for it. Plus, it isn't very park like, just plain forest. I mean that there should be grass everywhere with flowers and things.

In fact, most new players don't even KNOW how to trespass... so it would almost certainly have to be a town.

However, now that there's more than one start point, it would be difficult to make sure that newbs actually saw the park, anyway.

I'd say that it would be nice for the City of Brogdor to make such a park, it's not entirely necessary.
Surprise.

Why would you want to taunt newbies with trees they can't use? <.<

There should be an entrance south of the ring of brodgar and a fence around the park, so at the entrance we can place a runestone that says don't leave your stuff on the floor.

If you want to take on that project then join Brodgar and speak to Bullmax and/or myself about it.

There is already a road to the wilderness, it's not as far off as you might think either.
Unfortunately the road has had to wind around several settlements and I think some people may have already settled right on top of some segments.

During its construction there was also several points where the road was deliberately blocked by griefers.

Better than a road would just be a sign post link to one of the frontier villages.

Or maybe someone makes a park village somewhere off a bit and then calls it Park. Then we have a signpost that goes to that park.
