Lv. 3 Troll sighted today => Main dies xD

Today i had the "luck" of being surprised by an Troll.
Saved my mining alt, but then i tried to trap the Troll with a Claim Totem, etc.
And then i aggroed him to pull him closer to my ranger alt, and thats the moment where i realized that i fucked up:
He was ~15 Tiles away from me and dropped mutliple stones on me, trapping me first then knocking me unconscious and yeah.. killing me.
Any ideas how to approach them in the next time? I will try to attach pics as well in this post (made them with my phone, i was kinda in haste when i got aggroed :S).

P.S. he already despawned -.-"

Yea, i shouldnt have done some mining when being half asleep from work.
Anyways: I already Inherited that char, putting him to full change now. "Luckily" i died on full Tradition.

No, to be honest, when the Troll blocked me and then knocked me unconscious with his fcking stones, i knew im toast: thats when i took my phone out for the photos.
But still i was kinda in a haste: the quality of these photos are potato-like due to bad lighting in my room. Ive a Whatsapp group for my Village, that why i took the screenies with my phone in the first place...
