Well, Shady Acres was just taken over by some greedy noob.
They placed a large claim over our steel crucibles, mine and vault.
I only have 2 HHP left from trying to leave the mine, and Dantec has essentially gone insane and left.
It doesnt even seem like the person wanted anything, other than to cause chaos.
Things like this should not happen, and the fact that an entire camp may be taken down by 1 person is ludacris.

It's unfortunate that growing settlements can be squashed with such ease before reaching their prime. The level of fun to be had in this game is increasing with each update and fix, but actions like that just ruin it all.

Yeah, so currently I'm stuck in my home, which is the mine. If I go out, I die and loose my character, if I stay in, well I starve...

You won't die from trespassing, if you're too low on health then you won't even be able to trespass. Otherwise you can walk around freely in the claim with 1hp, just not re enter

all settlements can be ruined in such a way.
If I wanted to right now I could run down to bottleneck and place a claim over their mine, their wells, and numerous other places in the middle of their town and it'd be a royal PITA and nothing they could do about it.
They could retaliate sure, but the claim would stay.

We've actually been fairly lucky in terms of griefers, there's far more damaging stuff they could do

Too bad for that greedy noob that he won't be able to leave his new claim without being hunted and killed by angry ex-townies of Shady Acres or their allies. Perhaps razing will be implemented soon, and you will be able to kill him and destroy his claim.
i guess they never miss huh

That's the problem. No one saw him do it.

Would it be unreasonable to get the owner's name from a claim?
Say if you right-clicked the claim stake?
