Haven Screenlet

Windows users, beat it. >:þ
Edit: Yeah, Mac people, that goes for you too.

Screenlets are much like "Gadgets" in Windows - half-useless mini apps that take up unnecessary space on your Desktop.
This one comes in three different themes; each with a standard view and a mini view.
All mini views show a tooltip, with in-game time and characters logged in, on "hovering".

Download v1.1.

Installation (Linux only)
Code: Select all
# apt-get install screenlets

Extract the tarball into either $HOME/.screenlets or /usr/share/screenlets.

Default - designed by Jorb

I don't know if many people would want this, but I enjoyed making it nevertheless. :)
Seeing as it was really easy to make this; anyone with a bit of knowledge on making "gadgets" should be able to make one for Windows pretty quickly.
Any bug reports or feedback is more than welcome.

Versions
  • 1.1 - Fixed a path bug.

Or use the GUIfic installation method and press the "Install" button in the Screenlet manager. ;)

well both mac and pc widgets/gadgets use the same stuff, if it can be viewed in a browser it can be made into a widget or gadget easily.

I just read that Screenlets support so called "web apps" - apps written in HTML, CSS and JavaScript - just like the ones used on Windows and Mac, so I might eventually port it. *Eventually*.
