Wayneville Built using an exploit

Postby Sisco » Thu Mar 18, 2010 8:26 pm

It is old news now to many but I'm sure there are others that didn't hear about this.

Many WV members were using/abusing a bug that makes your character immune to starving if you wear a head bandage.

A few hours ago the Devs fixed this bug. As WV members logged in to play they would die in a matter of seconds because of the starvation effect.

Any idea as to how long this abuse has been going on ?

Long enough to build this :

Do you see those massive farms that were used to feed and support the colossal achievements of Wayneville members ? I don't see the farms on that map either. Just a few plots here and there that are likely for improving Q and some personal uses for people that were left out of the loop or chose to play fair.

I'm not going to cry to and beg the Devs to step in and swing their mighty hammer on this massive, very massive, creation. I simply want to make certain others know how WV made it to become a superpower in this map.

Shame on you Wayneville.

Yes, we reported this a week ago and continued using it, because there are no rules that prohibit such behavior. So why are you mad? :)
I did not complain about fixing this, but about the harsh fix without a proper announcement. And by the way, only 2 people died so far.

yawn.

1. We reported the bug over a week ago, after we discovered it.

2. We have more than enough food to feed all of us

3. This has absolutely no connection with the size of our town whatsoever. Doesn't matter if you use alts, starving mains or (as we did most of the time) just designate some players to get food.

4. It's Sodom now

Desperately trying to create some drama evolving around us, gets kinda lame over time. Better ask the russians, what exploits they are using.

and i can count at least 11 claims on this map that contains farming plots - including mine

so what makes you think, that we never feed our people. you know, after all, we are not Treblinka ^^

and i don´t even mention how many hours i spent fishing.

And really ever heard of disposable paving alts, clay digging alts, or fishing alts? :D And farming is a really crappy way to get hunger. Murdering masses of sheep and cows is the preferred way.

Also this. I start to doubt this was posted by rage, since he would know that the size of our farms is more than enough to feed two whole towns.

Dear anonymous troll,

See those white specks on the map? Each pixel is 1 tile of farmland.

On my claim alone, there are 250 tiles worth of crops.

Wut, russians using haxx? You mean like the mapping client that automatically saves and puts all minimap together as you wander around, resulting in whole supergrids mapped without a single piece of inkweed? Reported months ago, yet they still use it.
Or do you mean the ability to disable trees, cabins, walls and whatever they want to be displayed to see hidden people? :)

Well I got 12 36 sized farm plots on my plot that is 432 and I hate each and every one.
