Drying rack bad joke

Postby Oskatat » Fri Mar 19, 2010 7:33 pm

First i didnt pay much attention, but it's getting slightly annoying. My newly build drying rack vanished, taking with it a bear hide, aproximately 8 hours after i made it. I understand that structures and constructs should deteriorate to keep them from filling the whole world over time, and to make us put in some extra effort, but shouldnt they stay at least long enough for a bear hide to dry, and me to get online to pick it up? i wouldnt mind if it had been standing there for days already, but it was, compared to some others that are still there, brand new

i do feel like things are decaying a bit too fast. everything should have a bit more hp i think, or decay should do a bit less damage. imho.

Decay was fine in lvl I wilderness. However, it seems that now it's practically impossible to raise civilization that much.

Yes, drying racks decay like mad now. Our tailor is getting rather annoyed cause it's cost him several bear hides already.

i got a bear hide one day and i was about to put in on my drying rack. It was late so i went to bed. The next morning my drying rack dissapeared. I'm glad i didn't put on the bear hide.:D
They assume safety in the village that they dwell in. There is a predator of the clan who assumes his dominince over all the hearthlings. They try to run away to find safety, but he is to fast. And that is the great cycle of the village clan.

Ive lost 3 bear hides due to decay.

We still have drying frames from day out out on forest terrian, but all the racks built on paved tiles are gone, and since they decay in 1 hit you can't even know it needs repair because as soon as it does it disappears. So you tend to have to build them and place on the hides and take them off as soon as ready. if i get a cellar the drying racks are going down there!

I've lost several Boar hides this way. I cannot kill bears yet. I'm pretty far out in the woods too but I was starting to think a thief was nearby. I'm now sure it is rapid decay. I cannot claim yet but I did pave and fence my area. Things do seem to decay fast, my fence needs constant attention. Also, I tried to scout as much of the area as possible for human interaction and have found nothing . I'm really thinking decay is too fast.
