I am thinking that they should be able to travel at walk speed of at least four across most anything more or less indefinitely, depending of course somewhat on terrain and animals and whatnot. I picture them as taking 16-20 slots worth of equipment, and be able to take at least four more players in the back. If we had puppies like that that could *reliably* follow roads, I would feel pretty happy about removing teleports.

Bridges or fords or something would be necessary, of course. At some stage, I hope we can have http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cog_%28ship%29 cogs, as well.

I have lots of shit left to do on these though.

It should be possible to get animals across water, somehow, yes.
