I return to the Hearth....

After a long hiatus due to getting a great job. I return to Haven and Hearth. I was crushed by the Raid of New Brodgar and sort to return to strike out and see what becomes of me. At first I have to say that everything looks nicer with the UI, the pop up when you enter other city grounds is a nice touch...

I spawn after a long time into old New Brodgar to find it compleatly desolated, not unexpected but none the less. Gathering what I could I sort to see what was left that I could take with me. I shocked me to find that someone had claimed the City Idol itself and sealed in the main center part of the city, but none the less I found some items and foodstuffs that could last me a while...


I travel westward, towards the center super, passing many deserted settlements and such. I pass what I believe was Lagville the source of the raid all those months ago, I see that its been renamed too Dumpville. Matters not...

I continue on foot for a while before I find a discarded boat, traveling further west...

Just now though I passed into a City Bounds called Fort Ross across a river, Russian by the looks of things, I was stuck on one side and the river was wide and most likely long to travel around it northwards. I heard a click of a door closing on the other river, so I called out to them for passage, Russian was the reply. I attempt one word speaking in hopes that they understand a bit of english, A slingshot was the reply this time, followed by GTFO... Who ever said that Russian folk were Helpful...

A Copy Paste from outside sources might be good for the Chatboxes. That way English Speakers can translate from an external site and paste it in...

None the less I travel north now in hopes that the river ends soon...

I try to give Russians the benefit of the doubt, but a fair amount of them seem DO to make themselves a bad reputation through aggressive behavior.

I am the lawspeaker of New Brodgar after Cookie and John give up the position nd it is I that seal the town in pallisades. I do this to prevent the many thieves that often come through. I think it is much safer now this way. If there is anything you need in the town or any questions you have, I think you may remember me and know that I will be glad to help you.

You may also wish to know that Fort Ross is the home of persons who do raids in the area and have killed some characters, so it may be a little safer to give to them the wide space until you wish to fight them.

Well Allume, I have long left New Brodgar, I thought that someone else had claimed the city, good to hear that some are still trying to live in its remains...

Which way to head Yolan. I was thinking about heading to the Center Super and that city what ever its called there to just get my Bearings...

I have traveled far, passing many small and abandoned settlements, though there is little that could be called useful within them. I passed a great road built by a group who were known as Kaykasulans or something like that, it was long and it started with a K...

So much travel, little in the way of bears but everynow and then a boar decides I am worth the time to chase to the nearest river. Crossing land is not much fun...

I ran out of my last loaf of bread a while back, now scrounging up what I can for food, squishing ants and the like. Its a shame that I keep running out of water due to my foolery at hitting empty over drink. Must be a whole in both of these gourds or something...

I rarely see life out here that isn't wild. No hearthlings have passed over this earth before and none seemed to have spawned around these parts, its lvl 10 country, and me without my skill. Oh shit, Boar...

This Marks the 10th boat I have built, and most likely discard when the waters run out. It will be ages still before I arrive at the Worlds end, the world has changed but I shall move on with it...

I pass through a small Settlement called Willows Run...

Shame really, I met three villagers there, I asked for food as I was starved and nearly everytime I took to land I was attacked by Beast...

They said that they were willing to part with some meat, I watched as they disappeared into their homes and return with the so call meat. I saw Swords and Slings. They seemed to Drag on the subject, I do not know if they know or not if people OUTSIDE the village group can pick up items on village grounds or not...

I noticed that the one carrying the sword stuck close to me as I went to build a Wicker Basket as they asked me to, I also noticed that the other two remained offscreen with their slings (the fact that they walked up to a boulder in my sight didn't help much...)

I was warned with a whisper that the others were calling for my blood, the whisperer was unsure of what to do, so he let me go, saying that I had done nothing so he saw no point...

Shame Really, I would have visited again with something to repay them for their kindness... Shame...
