My camp is near southern map's end, in my area (a regional map) there are another 6 camps (they are abandoned, my friends quit playing sometime ago). The surrounding area is 99% unpopulated, I assure you the only civilization you could see are stumps, abandoned boats, etc. It takes hours to see a decent camp (not even a village). Keep exploring.

By the way I'm moving north (I think next week I'll be prepared), tired of hermit life, if you find my former camp you could claim it.

pd: language correction will be appreciated, I'm trying to improve my english

You probably mean "ps" then instead of "pd"... unless pd is something I don't know about, but a quick search turned up nothing. (PS = post scriptum, Latin for (loosely translated) "after writing".)

Thanks, you are right. PD means pos-data. Here we use it (incorrectly, but is generally accepted) rather than PS.

Read PM, dude.

And I really lol'd at the battle of grammatical correctness :D

On topic:
I broke a camp in south-western part of S3E1. The world seemed really huge actually, after passing a supergrid on the diagonal with boat above my head. All the rivers just dissapeared somewhere and I was just walking and walking in a hope to find one. Anyway, after exploring some territory around myself I found another 2 villages like 2-3 minimaps away from me each. I was like: fuuuuuuu-...
Gonna have a little rest, then move out towards the northen world's end. Since this part of map pretty much blacked out I suppose there is not much settlements.

There are plenty of settlements and Villages as well in the North. Try the North East, just before the last supergrid in the corner. :D

PLEP wrote:I used to live in husked area of S2W1 supergrid. In a place where you can find alot of abandoned villages, old stumps and so on, left after human activities. One good day I decided to find some more remoted place, where possibly no footprints at all, untouched nature and unexplored mines.

That used to be easier in the last world where everyone started at the Ring of Brodgar. Very few really dared to venture out to the edges of the map. Oh yeah, there were also like, 250 less players on the server at any given time.

Random wilderness spawning now means every super-grid has a pretty high chance of someone having been spawned there and setting up a village.

PLEP wrote:I didn't even feel that I'm remote enough from everyone, since there were some villages in about 5-10 minutes of boating from me.

Yeah, the world really isn't that big - especially given rivers are everywhere. It takes 20 mins to cross a super-grid. I spend more time farming.

PLEP wrote:Hell, I didn't think I would ever say that, but the world is damn small. Any ideas where should I go to find what I'm looking for?

Logic would dictate that anyone who suggests something will be mentioning a place they've been, ergo a place that has seen some kind of civilization. To find something that really feels abandoned, you basically want to avoid the main river systems. There are some grids with interesting river setups that lead to some completely cut-off areas that require a bit more effort than normal to get to. Best bet is to just explore, map the place and see what there is.

Then realise that someone will be spawning near you sometime soon.

Sadly I don't think the world can get much bigger until Lofty and Jorbus spend a big wad of cash on a better server with bigger HDD and more RAM.

Actually a new server is coming according to lofty, probably before the end of october. My guess is that it's gonna have a huge memory bank, and will be 64 bits, which should reduce the out-of-memory crashes.

After 2 hours i was like "lets just stop here i don't care anymore where we set up" but still made the treck to somewhere unkown...Where man has never gone before and explore the universe(insert shatner here).

Not disputing whether the world is large or small but your statement lacks context. You have no clue where you started at and no clue where you ended up and yet you're claiming to have transversed half of the world in this time based on nothing; traveling for five hours does not bring merit to your claim.
