You say your ready for your inevitable death, trust me youll be pissed unless you killed yourself.

Ninja boars are evil at lower levels.

I suggest you raid ant hills before you get hunting (you can raid them after you get foraging) if you raid them while you have hunting then the ants attack you.

Ive lived by the river and never had a problem either. Just make sure you have your claim up.

Ohh and yes keys are potentially evil just a fyi

You can live next to the river actually, but of course it depends. I've lived next to a river for a long time, but our region was not very populated at the time, and i've had only one nasty neighbour across the river, so i managed to take care of him. Rivers banks in the central grids must be somewhat unsafe, though.

It depends on the grid - I'm one west of central and it's actually very quiet here. I settled right on a river and I did get robbed a couple times before I got my palisade up, but you can't lose anything important if you don't have anything important .

It's just something to keep in mind - if you live by a river you're more likely to meet people, some of them friendly, others not. You'll want to get a claim and a palisade up as soon as you can, at any rate. And explore so you can figure out where you are. Making friends with a local village can be it's own protection, and if they're unfriendly you'll want to know that too so you can move somewhere else.

yes, WWW's when left on an herbalist table can become ANY seed. Infact, other than picking em from someone elses garden, thats the ONLY way to get beets.

If you can find a cave, and then find a water well location close to it, that wouldnt be a bad location to homestead in. the reason i suggest this is that cheeses go thru various stages of making them, and putting cheese in a cave helps you get a better cheese.

i'm not positive, but i've also heard that things don't decay in caves.
