I wonder how high it would have to be for that...

They'll heal themselves :)

I'm a fairly high level player and haven't played this game at all until halfway through last summer... A lot of my early days were spent dicking around because I was still learning how to play, but once I learned how to play, I quickly grew powerful. It just depends on how much time you have to spend on advancing your character, and you have to stay alive.

There isn't really that much of an end game because H&H doesn't work that way. You don't have quests or level caps or anything that you can reach/fulfill and then say "Well, I've done everything, let's play something else". In H&H you pretty much set your own goals, be it just being able to survive the next boar attack or building a brickwall from the northern edge of the world to the southern one. So I guess you reached the end of the game if you can't think of anything you could do next.

Guess it depends what you consider 'high-level' too.

As for digdogs idea of building a brickwall across the game world. that sounds cool. Would piss some newbs off though. :D

Haha yeah, that would be some pro griefing. Killing newbs? Everybody can do that, that's lame. Professionals find a way to annoy them without the need of even being online.

Thank you for all the responses. I know it's a sandbox type game with no caps, but was just wondering what others' views on their experiences were. I really don't mind taking it easy and just kinda limping through the game right now. I find it kinda difficult to play consistently, between my 3 jobs, so I kinda just farm or hunt a bit whenever I can. I like the idea of the large wall as well. How about also large labyrinths near common spawn points? Turn the wrong corner and a boar rapes you. I'm hoping to get involved in the game a bit more once I can afford just 2 jobs. For now I have a fairly expanding map of the world. (Hint: get mapper running and set custom resolution into the 5 digits and just let it load. I recommend at least 8 gigs ram and am running 16 myself on the main computer.) If anybody needs a random gimp to do grunt work, send me a PM.

what about brickwalling or palisading the entire world? just building it along the edge of the world?

That would be kind of meh, since you're only replacing an invisible wall with a visible one. What about terraforming an entire supergrid to grassland, including mudflats and everything?
