Looking at my trait snapshot
secretive, reclusive, messy, disorganized, introverted, unassertive, rarely worries, dislikes large parties, does not like to fit in, does not need to control others, solitary, ambivalent about chaos, tough, leisurely, does not respect authority, not aggressive, observer, abstract, impractical, dislikes leadership, daydreamer, bizarre, does not make friends easily, not a perfectionist, suspicious, rarely irritated, strong physical instincts, unsympathetic at times, risk taker, submissive, weird, sarcastic, strange

I apparently don't respect authority. I'm gonna go tell my LS to fuck off and then be unsympathetic to a noob before taking a swim.

I don't like these kinds of tests, since they contain so many questions which either do not apply (but there's no way to answer as such), cannot be answered at all, or cannot be answered one-dimensionally. Of course, even without that dimension, I would question the results of the test (how do they, really, use the question of how often one remembers dreams to determine personality?), but as it is, I can't even do the test even if it's just for fun. Just to take some examples:

"I like the music they play on college radio stations": How would I know? I don't listen to radio, and even if I did, I question whether a plain average of my liking of the music would even matter without being able to specify the standard deviation as well (even assuming that my liking of songs on radio could be fit into a Gaussian distribution).

"I remember my dreams at night": What's the scale? To answer "very accurate", would I have to remember every dream I dream or one dream in ten? Or at the other end of the spectrum, to answer "very inaccurate", would I have to forget every dream ever, or remember "only" one per month?

"I would rather please myself than others": What is this I don't even. The question makes no sense. One does not please others for other reasons than for pleasing oneself (by way of empathy, trade or other reasons), so the dichotomy is false to begin with.

"I tend to vote for liberal political candidates": Would that be liberal as in Ludwig von Mises would use the word or as American Democrats use the word? Likewise, "I am politically conservative": Should I interpret this the Californian way to mean bible-thumping, should I interpret it to mean resistance against violent revolutions and honoring traditions, or should I interpret some completely other way (I've got quite a few to choose from)?

"I am not familiar with failure": Does this mean that I do not recognize failure as an option, or that I actually never fail in practice?

"Being physically attractive is very important to me" vs. "Physical appearance is everything": Do these questions differ?

I could go on, but I doubt I need to. :)

what they said.
i found there was a lot of ridicolous questions.
but it did tell me some things about myself (that i allready knew) and most of the 'trait snapshots' were spot on, but it doesn't really tell you to how great an extent you're this or that.
This test looks to me like a badly disguised form of self flattery, it'll tell you what you'd like to be, the questions are very leading.
also a lot of the 'stats' are ridicolous, individuality? mysticism? what i don't even...
am i suddenly a morrowind character? apparently i'm not good enough to cast recall, derp. : (

"I remember my dreams at night"

Semantical speaking there not even asking what they seems to like to know.

(trivia: my personal maximum from a little experiment some long time ago is 7 ... and writing them down was a bitch.)

--- --- ---

O well:

introverted, secretive, messy, depressed, does not like leadership, somewhat nihilistic, observer, does not make friends easily, unassertive, feels invisible, feels undesirable, hates large parties, does not like to stand out, leisurely, suspicious, submissive, abstract, unpredictable, intellectual, likes rain, likes the unknown, negative, weird, not a risk taker, unadventurous, avoidant, strange.

Probably still a little to positive ...

Stability results were high which suggests you are very relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic..

Orderliness results were low which suggests you are overly flexible, improvised, and fun seeking at the expense too often of reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment.

Extraversion results were very low which suggests you are extremely reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and secretive.

Stability results were very high which suggests you are extremely relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.

Orderliness results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly organized, reliable, neat, and hard working at the expense of flexibility, efficiency, spontaneity, and fun.

Extraversion results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting at the expense of developing your own individual interests and internally based identity.

trait snapshot:rarely irritated, positive, tough, non phobic, fearless, likes the unknown, self reliant, high self control, confident, trusting, strong instincts, prudent, optimistic, willful, likes parties, prefers a specialized career, takes charge, altruistic, strong, high self concept, adventurous, practical, thoughtful

The trait snapshot was surprisingly accurate based on my opinion about my self.

kinda of a dumb quiz, but it got the 'does not make friends easily' part right, but thats because most people who try to befriend me realize i am at best half-crazy and at wost insane, and then do everything but run away screaming...their loss :D
