I will die alone, as I was born. That is the way it is meant to be.
We go forth like a breath exhaled from the Hearth. In our final moments, we take the time to reflect, and to plan. What shall happen once we are reborn? Will we stay with old alliances? Or will we forge new bonds of trust and friendship, creating a mighty new village. Sodom was the crown of World 3. What shall happen in world 4? We can only guess. There was so little warning, and still is so little time to plan. Shall I go through with creating New Haro? The answer to that question is difficult.
I must reflect.
First, why was it that I created Haro?
For the benefit of all, I imagined Haro to be a center of trade, commerce, and a mighty port for several players, much like Constantinople, except people would live there. My plans were magnificent, a gigantic village full of all those who wished to help. We had the people to help, but there was something more, that eventually led to its destruction.
Why did it fail?
There are several parts to why its eventually abandonment became a sad reality:
A.
I believe first and foremost was because I was not dedicated to the establishment of the village. My time spent on was brief, and not worthwhile. The villagers became "mutinous". I do not put down their behavior, it was their right to establish a more suitable lawspeaker in my place, I simply did not help enough. But our failure was more than that.
B.
I had set up a camp at the start, next to a nice river. As Haro began to form, I realized that we had built too much, our camp was to be temporary, not a home for us. We had built up too much, too many cabins, too big of a place. When I suggested we move nearer to the mine, as I first intended, it was too late, we were attached. This became a disaster, as because the village was just a camp, it had no plan, no formation, no official claims, we were in shambles. When the weak first palisade was constructed, we had already formed the village, and there was no room for ourselves. The end of Haro was near.
C.
I quit. Not because of one thing, but because of several. I was not on enough, I was shamed by our unplanned ruin of a village, and most of all, Haro was losing people fast. I quit, on the stupid claim that I was too busy with my real life. The fact was, I was sad, I abandoned my responsibility, and soon after, I returned perhaps a week later. The members of Haro had left.
The end of Haro was inevitable since day 1, I had no plan, and we were just a group of noobs with a dream of something impossible. Being a part of a village that had access to higher quality items, I realize how the true way to form a village was. In order to keep the village under control, the construction of the village must be directly oversaw by the leader.
After gathering my thoughts, I have made my decision.
I will build New Haro on two conditions:
A. Tiron Hallow, my old village, is NOT reformed.
B. The community supports my decision and I get volunteers.
I wish the map generator added oceans, so we could truly be a PORT. But sadly, this is probably not possible in the short time before the reset.
New Haro is doing something special, we are going out on a limb with no set plan, unlike the goons, who will easily group within a day or two and immediately begin construction on New Sodom or similar. New Haro however will have to hang on to the more competitive towns if we wish to survive. If we can stay together, and really get something worth doing, than New Haro may have a chance of becoming a super power in Haven and Hearth. But if we fail, then we will fall behind and probably not ever become known.
tl;dr I may make New Haro, be aware.
