I was just sitting there a minute ago, working on my kiln, listening to pandora and having a good time when some bitch boats up, jumps out, picks up MY boat and jumps back into hers and runs off with it.

What the hell?

well you should all be so thankful that these people bothering you dont have rage, or they would be beating the living hell out of you as well.

Maniacal1, your problem is that you determinedly chose to build your settlement next to a river, fully aware that you didn't have all your stuff claimed. Those are perhaps the two biggest mistakes you could possibly make so early in this world, besides getting killed by a bear.
But I can see that you are quickly learning.

Oh yeah, learning every minute. hehe. I'm a brand-noob to this game, only started 2 days before the reset with a friend...everything I know was a crash-course of learning or absorbing via the wiki. God help me if I ever have to fight, still the most confusing thing about the game. Even ants kick my ass.

But I love the gathering and crafting, and the sense of survival. It's addicting as hell. However I DO agree that, for a perma-death game, it is way too easy to die so early. All it takes is one wrong misstep towards a boar and it's all over you. I dunno what people keep saying about outrunning it..maybe my boars all have Turbo or something, but they catch me at any speed but the last 2 and those I can't keep up for very long. Certainly not long enough to lose the boar.

Still, so far so good on this character. *knocks on wood*

well dude, stealing our boat was a bad choice
I hate you! Yes, you!
How does it matter when you die? Today? In hundred years? What will be left of you after millenia?

Since I actually feel bad when I do bad things, and I don't like living in a bad atmosphere, you can have your boat back any time.
Add my hs: redrr and we can arrange a meeting.

obviously some people don't know what they are doing. I had two people just waltz into my camp as if they owned the place. walked right over to the leather tubs, but smashed his face into the claim over them. went through stuff and acting as if nothing strange was going on. good thing we had that claim up...

deffo at this early stage of game, leather/furs are still rare. People will do anything to get those things. Someone just stole a mouflon from me I just shot rofl.

Well some fortunate asshole just got 7 pieces of likely-cured leather, compliments of the working class. : /

we have had someone destroying our initial cornerpost with boneglue/ropes/blocks in it waiting for some leather.
Like wtf, what's the use of that, besides making other people angry?

NO just to do that, but to set others around you back, to them it's a race. If someone is excelling past you, do you think youll let it go unnoticed?
