My friend was killed by one today, he spawned right outside of our house and ate him. It was hilarious.

Jorb and Loftar have already made several comments in jest about bears suddenly learning to swim. I personally think they ought to start hunting in packs. Bears are much more trouble in stereo.

Dude, they've ALWAYS run away after enough damage. Just because you couldn't deal that damage until this point doesn't mean it didn't happen.

And besides, they're still easy to kill even after they run, unless you manage to lose them in the woods. In fact that makes it easier, because people like me, who find a safe place and shoot them with a sling from said place, can then simply chase after them and continue shooting without getting mauled.

And I'd think bears would be retarded for NOT running, because if YOU were in massive amounts of pain from being shot with arrows or punched in the face and you couldn't do anything to hurt the person attacking you, wouldn't you think it'd be smart to get the fuck away?

Shit, throw in some tyrannosauri.

Fuck it. I want a faux-prehistoric version of this game, now.

Rat? Compsognathus
Muoflon? Gallimimus
Auroch? Iguanodon

So forth. I suddenly want this game.

You won't be saying that in a week or two when you realize how many abandoned homes there are. A 30 second boat ride south of my village literally bring you to the ghetto. There's abandoned claims everywhere with the occasional newb taking things and raiders patrolling. It reminds me of Detroit.

Would be cool if they were really deep in a underground cavern, and once someone broke through they all swarmed out.

So I was on the phone and I thought my character was safe, so I'd looked away for a sec. Look back and there was a fucking bear standing RIGHT next to me. Nonhostile for some reason.
