Why would it never be P2P? That would speed up development tremendously. $10 a month is literally nothing. A good cup of coffee in USA is ~$7.

Consider all the possibilities if they had subscriptions!

I dont know about you, but every game that gone p2p while not being too popular or got much attention became freemium in 2 months after launching with 10 people online in the prime time of a sunday

Haven and Hearth is not exactly a marketed game...

Oh boy here we go, the common retort against people who might not enjoy pvp.

Get fucked, dude.

you know that there's nothing special about this game apart from the pvp mechanics and building right?

Anyways, i would be pretty mad if there WERE pve servers, because all the sheeple why cry when i kill them would move away to places where i couldn't harm them and competition on the regular servers would be harder.

I heard something about diversity in the populace making things more fun, and it makes sense.
keep the sheep and the assholes in the same pot.

I would, however pay a pretty good subscription price to play haven if there was only one server/all the servers had the same ruleset.
Before you take insult to this post, keep in mind that I am simply a warrior of truth.

That's true I guess, but poster above you had some good points. 5-10 dollars a month really is nothing. Lunch costs more.
And becoming an item-mall game would attract the very worst sort of players there are. LAZIES.

You friggen eat a sandwich, you can't eat a video game, but that would be pretty cool. But seriously, the idea of paying for some pixels on a screen's just wrong :/

You don't own any video games?
You've never played WoW?
You're still in junior high school with this mindset that paying for a hobby is a waste of money?

LOL. Get the hell real.
Vidya gaems are some of the cheapest hobbies around. Golf is a pretty expensive hobby. Fishing is a nice hobby, if you catch anything.
But seriously. You aren't paying for the pixels, you're paying for the fun.

The concept of subscription fees for games, any games, really fucking pisses me off. When this game finishes its development stages (...), I'll buy it. Once. I will not buy the same game every damn month. Like £20-25 once, normal game shelf price or something.

Good fun game, pvp and permadeath is what its all about. I don't fight people myself, but I like that feeling that every time I leave my fortified house... DEATH STALKS.

How is it wrong? It has been the norm since the arcades-you paid a quarter to watch pixels on the screen.
Also buying any other video game is paying to watch pixels on the screen. Buying a single movie is likely more than a months subscription and that is paying to watch pixels on a screen.

I am all up for monthly subscription but HATE the item-mall premise. Paying extra so you receive exp-boosting items and getting ahead of everyone else is not fair.
