Not that I mind anyhow, someone stole from my rack hidden sort of deep in a cave (~2 screens in the dark), but it won't ever happen again

I saw a settlement on the edge of the river and pulled up along side in my boat. Someone jumps in and I go over to the other side and just sit there for a few minutes till he hopped out.
I then proceeded to take everything of worth while he hurled obscenities at me from over the river.
