There is nothing about this new system I don't love.

Ok.. Maybe that you don't get LP for the first time you build something. (like a house), but I can live without that. So far? It's amazin'.

Meh.

makes me just build less things, devote more time to roaming and exploring. I can see your pain though, why should i make more houses when I can make one and just put most of my stuff outside? Why build a house at all? :|

Indeed! Why build a house if you don't plan to use it? Why chop down a tree if you don't need the materials? Why make buckets if you don't need to transport fluids? Suddenly, building something has to be it's own reward, not just means to an end on the LP grind.

While I too enjoyed seeing LP tick in no matter what I did, it leads to some pretty destructive behavior at the end of the day. While assholery still exists, at least it is not rewarded with LP.

Agreed, I love it too, I think its central principles could be extended to other areas of the game as well.

Having both a life and a job, I despise the new system. I have to spend more of that little free time I have for H&H on farming curiosities. GG

With this lp system, if i choose the wrong skill to learn i could not have any possibility to gain new lp's? I've took everything i can from trees, ground and rocks. If now i learn the wrong skill, i'm stucked? Because at the moment, i've learned something and it didn't gave me nothing back.

It basically takes away any motivation to play longer than it takes to make new curiosities and drop them in study. I can't craft anything new without skills, I can't learn skills without lp, and I have to wait til tomorrow to harvest any lp ಠ_ಠ

If your only motivation for creating something in W4 was to gain LP, I'm glad to see you and your kind go. And while I understand your gripe with a slow first day (though easy to get around if plan before spending your early LP), that problem solves itself in a day.

I still have my doubts about the new system and there are some frustrations, but overall it's really cool and I like planning out my curiosities.
