I'm sorry to hear that you've lost your first character. Unfortunately, it's a fairly common thing to die when you're still learning to ropes.

As you've already said, the five thousand Learning Points you lost are nothing in comparison to the massive stockpiles gathered by people like NaoWhut, Sabinati, and others, likely tallying upwards of the billions over their careers. That said, everyone starts out at the beginning and few get to keep their first characters, whether they're lost to accidents or the arrows of passing players.

Don't lose heart. You'll be able to recover from your loss and maybe learn the same lesson that many players have learned along the way: You can't take anything from a game. Not your bear cape, your bunny slippers, or your fishing pole. Not that stone ax you first crafted when you began playing. Not even the silver that you may be lucky enough to find and painstakingly dig out of the ground.

What you can take are the stories and perhaps even the friends you make along the way.

Take screenshots of the good times and the bad. Exchange email addresses to help you get in contact with the fallen, or should you fall yourself. But above all...

My jaw drops when I see NaoWhut bragging about what he's done - and when I see other players egging him/her on. In fact I've never experienced this kind of forum behaviour in any game before - especially as a new player. Say you killed me, fine, say tough luck that's the game, okay, say I would do the same to survive, probably - but the malicious attitude I've witnessed here on the boards is something I think I'm going to have a hard time accepting. You H&H folks have an interesting community, to put it very gently.

Don't get me wrong - I understand completely now that H&H is a no-holds-barred, gritty kind of game - and now that I know that, I can prepare as necessary. I do want to face up to the challenge. Thank you guys for teaching me this, and thank you greatly to those encouraging me to keep on in spite of it all.

NaoWhut has a small group of like-minded individuals that journey with him on these sorts of things. The majority of them are less than pleasant to other people.

It's good to learn to be a bit paranoid about other players in this game, but never let it destroy your ability to have fun.

Oh, don't get me wrong dood, i wasn't bragging
about killing you, you weren't really much of a
kill, i just like rubbing it in the girl's face since
she started threatening me when i dropped her
AS she was running to a house, that was close
and rather entertaining.

Silly girly, never even came on your main.

By helped, you know I mean that you weren't alone. If nothing else KlauE was there to make the killing of two non-combatants lulzy.
Bet you just wish you killed a real challenge, like a farmer or chef. You day would have totally been made.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

silly alt " we are protected by bears"

me - " Bear Lake? TechXKnight? I'm well aware. Don't threaten us "

silly alt "might I ask why you did it then?"

Nao, enteres, stage left, slings...... Silly alt falls to the ground

Nao - " alts are gay "

Me - " get on your main "

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, Fharlanghn, might I ask who you are? You have summed up us finely, flattering really. Swell guy that Fharlanghn.

As for innocents who have died, my soul was beat and murdered over a span of 3 worlds. Exists no more.

EDIT: Quite the case, everyone's just crippled under one hit... I'd like someone who fought back. But I have the greatest feeling I won't find the one in between, almost positive someone will come by and just completly crush me sooner or later. Having fun while I can.
EDIT2: and by the way, I happen to be both a farmer, and a cook. Also a tailor.
You may have foiled the plans of BAD-EVIL this time, but there is no rest for the wicked.

I'm going to do the smart thing right now and simply leave this thread behind me. I threw shit around I shouldn't have, I'll admit that.
Have a good game this world guys, get those terrible farmers!

I do apologize for any insult caused by my description. It's simply what little I've heard about you and yours while I travel. The information appears to be a bit more plentiful for NaoWhut, what with his pants-thieving exploits in the past.

As for who I am? A Dungeons & Dragons nerd of no importance.

Edit: That stole from Stin when they were running away to escape the consequences of Rozn's poor leadership and bad decision-making abilities, but really very little else of any consequence.
