They IP check all dumbasses who hide behind IPs so that known retarded trolls don't go around talking to themselves on the forums or attempting stupid trolls with new accounts, so that it can be banned and they can be acknowledge on their old account It's common practice. The only reason we know is because it was thought to have been one of our own who uses said proxy.

The fact is that they tried though. They couldn't help themselves but to check and see. And don't give me that crap about "checking to see if it was a banned account" or "they thought it was someone else who uses the same proxy (which they wouldn't have known until after they checked in the first place)".

Obviously it's an existing player who created a new account as to not give away their location. He even fucking says this himself in the 3rd post. If you're selling something valuable, why WOULDN'T you do this? I don't see why it's such a huge deal. In W3 I wanted to sell a q55 pearl but I was also a lowly hermit without any major form of defense (didn't even have a palisade honestly), and there was no way I would have been able to defend myself against any threat if someone was to find out my location. It's just common sense. The only reason he's using a proxy is that even if you create multiple accounts, mods can still track it back to your original account (which may or may not have posts revealing where you're located), and obviously he was correct in his fears because apparently they really wanted to see who the OP actually was.

It does not, many of us have been on the bad side of the 'but I want to proxy for safety' reasons, they always lose, to think that just because I'm "Lol Sodom owns all swamps and golds!!"
