its nothing surprising. killing a bear is easy enough as long as you have a boat. depends on where you spawn, but it can be harder to get enough bones to start making a bone glue or gathering enough leathers without getting stolen for a palisade.

Not to mention with no real defenses to stop this person from coming back and stealing from you again, you're kind of out of luck. Even with the help of a Ranger, should they discover that this person is behind a palisade with his hearth fire inside a house, they will most likely give up right then and there.

My opinion: Pack up and find a new place to live, unless you want to try gathering materials to make a palisade.

i steal lots of stuff from weaker people

not because i like making them sad moreso that i need the materials. for every good thing i can pull out of someone's camp i smile.

the only thing you can really do is just get another hide, work on a palisade. the forums are paranoid as fuck and the first thing everyone'll tell you to do is make a palisade, village idol, and never carry keys.
