The original is nothing special it's just "the original." I think a new one is needed as well!

It's old and now there is a new lp system and everything. I think that should be shown off too :) Cone cow.

I made a new trailer as the one on the homepage is rather out dated... Tell me what ya think? ;)

It's a much better effort than the last trailer someone attempted.

But I agree with Dataslycer that there are some things you could add to it, such as crafting/terraforming and showing players in various stages of progression:

frontier homesteads -> young villages -> established villages.

  • :14-:20 your mining sequence doesn't last long enough for people to see what is going on and there is not enough lighting in the area, you should remake it
  • dragging things by hand is good for trailers, so keep that in
  • recut scenes in the trailer so there is a sense of progression, show early life near the start and advanced content near the end. change your outfit to match

Dragging things in large quantity makes it look like a pain.

i think comparing the content shown in both trailers is a good way to improve yours

original
:03 cabin interior
:05 homestead exterior
:08 mining with friend, poorly lit but lasts long enough AND selects mine ability from menu
:16 farming by hand
:23 smelting ore
:31 construction
:35 combat: fox
:44 combat: bear (shows him get mad)
:51 crafting: cooking, social life
1:00 credits

yours
:06 wagon in wilderness, cargo management
:13 mining, poorly lit cave
:21 smelting, established village
:25 cabin interior
:28 village exterior, doing nothing
:35 inventory management
:37 farming
:46 boating
:53 combat: boar
:59 social life?
1:02 combat: fox
1:06 credits

It's something that needs to be shown in trailers because otherwise things move too quickly.

there can be a later sequence for fast inventory management

Hmm, I like the combination of both.
