While that initially sounds like a good idea, I think future vaults would just have the houses plain out of site to anyone who cant get in the walls. That'd mean they'd have to be even bigger. : /

The idea suggested about another way to get through walls sounds nice. I suggest some limitation on things ONLY people using hearth vaults will do, not average villagers. Being in vastly different parts of the world so quickly is really the only thing that the game can track that comes to mind.

Can anybody else think of anything along those lines?

Also, phizuol, I think that scent idea is pretty good actually.

The danger of relying on people not being there to see it coming is that it also applies to people who are at work or asleep.

1,000,000 LP skill - Suicide Bomber

Destroys 3 sections of wall where the skill is used. 1 time only. The character is no more.

Or remove summoning for anything except murder and fix rams. Why not remove the distance rams can move, make them more durable or repairable, reduce their movement speed to below a crawl and only allow them to do a certain amount of damage? If you circle your town multiple times with walls, you should be rewarded for the effort but not impenetrable.

It's easier to just remove walls from the game, and the effect is the same - everyone, *no exceptions*, will have *all* his stuff destroyed the moment he goes to bed/work.

This is the tricky part. How do you do this so vaults are nerfed but all the legit villages don't get torched down?

Easy, if their is one hearth in their, or if it is a very small area. J&L can be called to break it down, if it looks like a village and in the center the mine system is a L5 hearth vault then you have to get into the village anyway before you could call J&L about the hearth vault. I really think all of them need to be smashed.

LOL, devpolice. Will you foot the bill for it? The devs have to eat too, you know, and policing the game wouldn't leave enough time for a real job.

True but the hearth vaults, server crashing, and hiding just break the game.. Reducing the cooldown to 12 h may be a step foward as well.

They will never police the game, they said so long ago. It goes against the basic tenets of their design philosophy.

As for reduction in cooldown, real villages would suffer tenfold compared to vaults.

I don't see any other solution. The only way to get a person in a hearth vault is to cheat. This whole thing is breaking the game. I don't think they should police the game but something else should be done..

That something being a complete redesign of the siege minigame, which will take a significant number of devhours so isn't realistic now that Salem's deadline is so near. So yeah, we just have to sit tight and ride it out.
