woah now, you dont have to bring it inside. building a wagon door takes time, a pair of trained alts, and patience. with the new way damage is done to walls, its can also be an agonizing process. remember that a wagon cant be moved without a cow. as long as you leave your wagon empty, no one is going to touch it because they aren't exactly worth anything except the materials and time it takes to make one. you dont have to worry about anyone taking it unless you've pissed someone off. you've got wall im assuming, just leave the wagon at the door nearest your cattle. make sure to unleash and take the cow inside.
