I just started playing and haven't ventured far outside the inner newbie circles, but I have definitely seen a few of his.

"Is this the real life-"

and another nearby

"Is this just fantasy-"

Can't remember where they were exactly.

the laketown northren road runs past one of the 'stone carver' runestones at one point. says something like "I smell salt, the sea must be near - The stonecarver" which is kinda odd.. cause its quite a distance from teh sea.

Caught in a land slide, no escape from reality. ;)
Sounds like the Bohemian Rhapsody to me. :D

I have personally followed a very vague trail of runestones leading to a cabin in the north west of the map. It took.... A while, to find it. Mainly the ridges and foxes got in my way.

In my travels I have found close to 50 (Maybe more. I can't remember half of them) runestones marked by The Stone Carver in my quest to find him. Good sir. I don't know if you are some form of philosophical LP grinder, or just like to leave your mark. I thank you for bringing a piece of mystery to this game.
