I have a couple of questions. Im utilizing some wikis and guides but some things seem to be either an error or a bug or im just missing something. After successfully fishing for 3 hours my lure breaks than I try to replace it. For some reason the game doesnt recognize that my pole is fully constructed and has a new lure on it, tried with multiple lures, and so it shows that I have a stringed pole with no bait.

Right click your pole and try unequipping everything from it to see if something else is missing. Not only can you lose bait but also hook or line as well.
