Yeah JC summed it up best.. ditch your boat and run, works everytime.

I prefer to let them strike me down so I can become more powerful than they could possibly imagine.

Not so effective though if the OP's mobility skills isn't solid yet but that can be remedied with practice.

I disagree with disembarking and trying to lose them in the forest. The chasee is the one that picks the path the chase takes, so you can lead them to reinforcements of your own. Preferably in aa dead end river so you can block them in there.

Sure you can always do that, but if you have no re inforcements.. two people can boat indefinently, it's near impossible to shake a pursuer on boats, the chase goes untill someone gives up, or... one of the two bring friends and it progresses into something else. Dis embarking and running on land puts a timer on the chase - water.

If you can´t gather up reinforcements in a couple of hours of boat chasing you´re doing it wrong.

If you're not in a village with voice chat, it'd be hard to chat and boat at the same time.

There are times when ur just far as shit (this early in the world where you don't have ports to everywhere) and ur best option is to try to lose them on land. It's harder to chase then to run away by far.

it depends.

In his case he wasn't prepared at all for that. (no water on him, or maybe just a flask can't remember).
While uh attackers was carrying 2 bucket of q60ish water with us.
He wouldn't have got far.

Imo people should never leave their village without at least one bucket of average water.
