Just wanted to touch bases with all of you and see how things were going. :) EQmac is... slightly different from when I last left it. It seems a lot of undesirables have migrated over since I last played. While there are still a few familiar names hanging around, the community is all together foreign to me.

I decided to make a new character (on EQmac) and go into solitude in the Innothule Swamp as a Troll Shaman. The nice thing about taking things slow now is I don't feel guilty about wasting money/time as I normally would with subscription games. Here are some screenshots for your viewing pleasure from Gazuk's hometown of Grobb.

(Because of my massive 1680x1050 screen resolution I cannot imbed the screenshots directly without them getting cut off so here are direct links to the images.)

Doesn't photobucket provide thumbnails you can link with?

Man... seeing these make me miss the old days...

It is the Daddy of the modern MMO. No, it was hardly the first, but it so far has defined the genre and not many have broken away from the formula successfully. Even Rift and The Old Republic owe many of the core group mechanics to this game. (Of course, the whole thing is just a big rip-off of the DikuMUDs of the 90s, which, in turn, was heavily influenced by AD&D, GURPs, and some of the JRPGs of the 80s and early 90s.)
