Why do you post that when a mod clearly said if this thread continues well it won't be locked?

Naw threads going good.

OT - I heard the lag is due to the scripting of the game? Is that correct? If yes why not modify the script?

i lol'd that you think it's that easy, it's to do with the way and frequency that the world backs up, you don't just "modify" it to fix a problem, there's a bit more to coding than that, and i'm not even a coder

well, i always see these threads locked and the mods simply love to do that.
I've been in this community over a year but I've never yet heard from the devs or mods that speak with them if there is anything we can do to help with the lag.
There is 500-1000 people playing always. The server is in sweden, home of amazing 100/1000/10000 internet.
Is there a way to get jorb/loftar to actually read this and perhaps say for example, 'we need 1000 dollars pooled and we can look at getting a better server to handle the load'
I would donate in a second if I knew the money went to the server.

Or is it simply shabby coding and the engine that causes the lag?

You missed the part about a better server.
If it is the server and not the coding, say u need more money and I will give it.

I spoke to loftar a week ago about the lag so I dont know what your talking about and I bet they are sick and tired of reading e-mails about people stating the obvious. But recently the issue needs to really be highlighted as its got much worse so I'll see if I can get in touch with him again.
