I just looked through Ramones thread and he is buying a troll skull for 20 pearls (says a necklace).

I also have a feeling like pearls being the standard currency these days isn't the best idea. I would be having problems to decide too if someone offered me their villa for 5 Porsches...

That would be the beauty of the barter system that we have here. The currency value within the game is very dynamic and highly subjected to buyer/seller different value. I suppose it does depend on what item is highly required but not too rare within the game for the economy to revolve around.

Don't poke him any further, please ;)

It is a long lasting grudge between our factions and for some reason they believe I would care about that as a person blabla. Not the point of this thread as I said though so let us keep this on topic. You can find out some things about the grudge if you read up on w5 Congress, topics like "Taar is burning" for example.

@Patch: Well, the system seems to have become quite static though to me. Most traders have very similar prices on the most common trade goods and I question some of those prices.

1 troll = 87 pearls, everytime to put in study your pearls is annoying.

Good players learning pearls and this way is easier. Start to play and you'll understand what's going on in the game.

I played this game three times as much and three times as successful as you, so shut up about that. You got kicked up and down the hearthlands by my villages once too much it seems. This is not the point of this topic and I am allowed to ask any kind of question I want. That is what the forums are for.

You are basically already contradicting yourself there. If good players are learning pearls (and annoying really doesn't count, you are using a study bot anyway, dont tell me you are not) then why would they buy the skull? The numbers are just supporting my argument so I am asking has anyone ever paid you 50 pearls for a skull?

Edit: Just to clarify this since you guys would even think I am gunning against you if I made a thread about how the easter bunny isn't real: I am trying to open up a general discussion on prices. Many things seems to be taken for granted right now, but when I look through the trade topics I often feel like I wouldn't pay so much for a certain product, or that I as a trader would even charge more for some things. So this is supposed to be a platform for traders as well as customers to voice their opinions. The example at hand was just the latest that let me have such thoughts.

I have the key words bold for you. Y u do dis 2 badich? It's like you want to start forum trolling, bravo master Burgingham. Bravo!

Personally, I would never spend 50 pearls on a Troll Skull, simply because I do not have that amount of pearls, but I think the trade is fair although maybe only for those in high tier villages who have excess pearls to spend or those that can be bothered to grind for 50 pearls :D
I had a retardedly huge signature and have gotten this embarrassing replacement to show for it.

Of course we each have different views on what would be the ideal price on what but player driven economy somewhat forces us to compromise our personal belief on price. You and Avu have experienced this first-hand in this game as well as Wakfu. The exception to this rule is if you have a monopoly on the said goods.

Funny how everyone knows wether I am playing or not. Shove it Kaizo when you have no idea what you are talking about. This is the last off topic comment now, thanks.

@Patch, well yes and that is why I want to discuss about it. I think there might be tendencies (most likely subconsciously mind you) of forming a price cartel here. Well, rather it seems people agree too easily on set prices and reproduce them by including them into their own price lists without questioning wether this still is the actual value or not.

he would have started it on Badich's thread if that was what he wanted.
isnt it rather you that want to troll him, looking at your avatar, kaizoku? no excuses there.

on topic, demanding a big number of pearls look always suspicious. but who cares, as long as it says pearls, right?
and most new players dont check all threads. but that is the same as real time shopping, i guess. when you gotta have something *cool*, you gotta compromise with what is available and deal with it.
