The problem is that we don't really know exactly how to proceed (that has been true to some extent during Haven's entire life, which is why we have so seldom spoken about any plans for the future to begin with, but it is especially true now), so we wouldn't know what to write in an announcement anyway.

while I like you're thinking process, posting that is just pure bullshit. HnH is nothing more than a MUD with a GUI. It's something every MMO developer has done since EQ came out. (Don't believe me? Dig into some of the histories of major MMO developers. They either did MUDs early on or worked on another MMO once they became the standard.) Selling the name would likely see a game in a year nothing like what we've ever played here. It'd be so nerfed that all the current vets would likely quit the game in protest. Of course, that's assuming anyone would see this and think they can make more than a few hundred dollars a month.

Also, yes, I'm sure Gabe would charge for it and worry about what a success it is because Valve is clearly EA.

we are forgetting this was made from nothing by jorb and loftar. if they want to delete every copy of this games files except 1 and then physically have sex with that harddrive its on then thats 100% their right. stop bitching about haven like you have a say in what happens with it or act like you know whats better for it.(specially when you want to take a hobby from 2 guys, thats what this game is, THEIR HOBBY) 2 guys own it, literally anything they say and do is exactly whats best for it.

Yeah, I know JnL don't owe me anything. I still think they're shitty game devs. They just took an idea that everyone has had since the dawn of gaming and made it into a free MMO. The only reason it hasn't been done before is because it's not commercially viable.

Gabe Newell on the other hand is like the fucking Captain Planet of vidya games. He sees a piece of shit like this and makes it amazing, just like what happened to Dota2 and TF2.
