Might learn more if you read one of the guides that actually explains things.

Note: I have not been able to find on this forum something to check my texts. Does it exist?.

How you mean? Any modern browser has built in spell checkers. Other than that, you might want to fire up Word or another word processor that has a grammar checker if you're that concerned.

Hi Magic :D

I do, I read all, and some of the things said at this post like dress an alt with the same look, or telling how a scam is made, I never saw in another text related to H&H.
Of course I have a lot more to read I havent had time to do yet.

Sorry I dont get what you mean by "any modern browser". You are saying that I have to write outside the forum and after come back here with my text?.
That for sure can be a huge work, I write in my main languaje, translate, spellcheck, translate back, rewrite and again the whole process.
Where is the spell checker here at this forum?. I would love to have one, using it is another nice, fast and easy way to learn English for me.

What browser (what system) are you accessing the Internet from? If it is Firefox then you can download an inbuilt spell checker that will highlight every misspelled word you are typing as well as providing you with words 'it thinks' you mean to write. I don't think I could manage with out it (and English is my main and only language). Fast simple and lets people read what you are posting instead of giving them a headache.

Spell check is standard in Firefox. No download needed.

A few blurbs on a forum post isn't really helpful. A whole book could be written on subterfuge in games and has been (several just off the top of my head). It's not something your going to find on new player guides, but is something everyone in a PvP game should learn. However, the rules apply to almost every single game in existence, so why rewrite, and poorly, just for another post? Also, it's not considered "newbie" information because it doesn't really help a person learn how to play a game. If a person comes here not knowing how a scam looks, they're probably lucky they haven't been scammed in real life yet (or maybe they have and just didn't know it).

Sorry I dont get what you mean by "any modern browser". You are saying that I have to write outside the forum and after come back here with my text?.

Firefox, chrome, and I believe even Internet Explorer and Safari, all have built in spell checkers now (at least in English and many other languages, but maybe not all... check documentation--no idea if you can change languages as you go, though). ** Yes, if you want to do "grammar checks," you should write in Word or another processor that has that feature and copy-paste into a post. Is it more work? Yes, but that's up to you. In my opinion, anyone flaming some random internet guy for bad grammar needs their head caved in. A) English isn't a universal language, and B) translators are great tools, but they generally suck for getting grammar right.

Forums are nothing but a minor interface presented via PHP scripts (or other scripting language) on a server. The software can't do anything until you "Submit" the post (sending all the data to the server). The free forum tools (such as phpBB used here) have few features and even the custom designed ones some sites use have few features compared to modern text editors. Could they do more? Sure, but it takes programmers and time to do it. As long as it's free, expect few programmers to give that much time to the cause. People have to eat, and as much as I support the idea of open source and free software, it doesn't feed the kids or pay the mortgage.

**edit: even the "smartphones" have spell checkers on them: iOS, Android, Blackberry. I know the iOS devices (Apple's iPhone, iPad, iPod) will spell check everything you type (and even try to correct it, always at the wrong time).

Ahhhh that would be cool!, the spellchecker of Firefox would check all by itself, no matter what page I am looking at.
I am actually using Explorer, but my son downloaded and installed for me Mozilla Firefox, he said it is better.
What happens to me now is that I am very used to the "favorite list" there is at Explorer, and I need to learn how to use the "bookmark" from scratch, and I never take the time to do it, there is allways something more interesting to do, but I will. :D
Thx a lot. ;)

Thx to you too for pointing it is standar, even easier. :D
What does “trollbread” means?.

What can or can not be usefull depends on who is reading it, I never thought that a game can make poeple twork on scams like IRL. Of course they can, I just did not realize it until I saw it written, so for me was usefull. I accept that I am naif IRL, and I do not take any shame on it. It makes my life much easier, I do not need to be having second thoughts, I dont have that stress.

IDK what means “needs their head caved in”, Im guessing you want to say that is not worth the effort of answering?. I agree. The same I think about the people here that is used to insulting, I really dont like it, makes me feel bad (not that I have not seen it in another pages before).
I just wanted to thank the person that told us a little fun story and allowed me to see things I missed, not to support the bad use of the languaje.

Related to the forum, I know is a free one as the game itself is free, and I understand very well people needs to have their income, but I played before other games and they had free forums with the spellcheck enabled, so I was thinking maybe I missed something I had to check.

I hope I can log in fast (IDK what happens with the server), it gives me hard work to write here, otherwise I will have to go do some housekeeping :( .
Good luck!

Grow up a bit. Sure, it makes it hard to read. I'd like to see you write in Italian, though, or maybe even Chinese or Japanese where there aren't any good translators. It's the Internet. It's not owned by the English speaking world. Oh, and try to read something that has bounced through a translator into multiple languages... (It's also the reason people shouldn't use various forms of shorthand.)

Now, I do tell people that don't write English very well to use a translator because it does come out better than what they're trying to post (ie post is completely illegible by anyone). I can think of a few examples on the forum. The OP is hardly one of these.
