why use fists, i killed a bear by just pissing on it.

Seems like you met Bear... GRYLLS.

OLOLOL-..

no.

But to be honest, I think it'd take a gooood while to kill a bear with my current MM and Sling, since they have quite a lot of HP...

And also, if I could make it flee by hitting it enough, I'd be quite unsure whethever to start pursuing it, in case it suddenly turned around and bearbashed my face in.

In the last world, I hunted bears with a mediocre sling, 40 MM minimum, and 2 boulders. It is possible, though it can be quite time consuming.

I've got all the time in the world. This week, at least. All classes for the rest of the week has been dismissed, so I have an extended weekend.

Don't forget to hunt via a boat, and chip those boulders on the other side of the river.

Hunt via boat? Like, sail past to easier find wild animals, or can you actually shoot from a boat?

You can often find bears near a river bank, and yes, you can shoot them with ease from a boat. Make sure that your boat isn't in the shallow water, though, as the bear can attack you there.

I like hunting bears on lake edges, there are usually rocks that jut into the water somewhere that are safe to chip from. If your using a modified client, you can look at the grid (ctrl-g in most cases) and adjust your position so there is a tile and a half minimum between you and the lunging animal, this includes any part of your boat. I've gotten a little spoiled with the custom clients and their visibility range, so luring animals to the waters edge will be a terrifying endeavor on the base client, but can still be done. I looked over the fighting guide Dataslycer put together and didn't notice if he mentioned HOW to move while arching, so I'll let you know. After you have "selected your target" and the archery meter starts, press and hold CTRL, and I mean hold it (almost died a few times learning this simple trick) and then click somewhere you want to move. You can keep going, longest I've done is a 7 mini pull with Mouflon. If your afraid your too far away (if the sucker runs for about 30 seconds and cant find you, it will break combat) after you shoot your "lure stone," target the little monster again by selecting shoot and clicking on the little icon in the upper right corner, it will start a new aiming bar. Now the danger comes in with pulling animals is that, if they don't have a path to you, they will get stuck, aka if your in the water, they won't come and will stop at any tree or boulder that's directly in their path to you. Also if your too far away, or the path isn't clear enough, they will get stuck on palisades as well (had this issue with a bear just the other day.) If that's the case, give yourself a VERY good distance (2-3 minis), shoot your lure, and run like hell (remember the bear is pissed and coming to eat your face.) The final "tip" I use is, time the lunges. I have noticed I hit more regularly, and for better damage if I manage to fire during the beast's attempt to reach me over the (shudder) tile of water that separates us. I may have just been consistently very lucky on those shots, but all the same, it's what I do in the early game.

And that has been your 2 cents from the Mooling.

Thank you very much for the tips, mate. :)

Though, if I start running while aiming; won't my aim-meter go down tremendously meanwhilst? That's also why I have trouble hunting animals, as when they start running around. It'll almost in an instant reset my aiming meter.

Indeed it will, that's why it's a tactic for pulling them to a more advantageous position. One they are where you want them, (lake/rivers edge with a rock/boat nearby) you can then take your time and let that aim meter build for the kill.
