For you I'd recommend being self employed as well, look on eBay, see what sells and what doesn't and try to get more into that, who knows one day you could make enough to quit your job.

you sell shitty illegal cigarettes right?

You forgot to put

"Please keep religion out of this"
So a Flotsam walks into a bar.
The Bartender says "What are you here for?"
And the Flotsam says "Nothing, I'm just Curios."

I've been playing around with the idea of living off the grid, unfortunately the idea requires that I work on the grid to save up enough money before I can live off said grid.

I will eventually strive to be self-sufficient. I will have my own land, I will have my own water, I will have my own electricity, and I will have my own food. This will require a lot of work and planning but the payoff will be worth it to me.

See, I've never liked the idea of working my ass off to make some other person rich. I've been working since I was 16 and I've worked a lot of jobs from customer service (fast food, gas stations, etc.) to manual labor (factory work, assembly, etc.) and I've come to learn that the reason I am doing this is because I need the money to pay for necessities such as a house, food, water, and electricity. If I can get all of that on my own, I'd have it made. Thus, my motto was born...

"Work to live, not live to work."

become a street musician. you are your own boss, you make your own hours, no overhead.

Eh you have to find what ever suits you best. I mean when ever im in need of some cash I normally go to the downtown area and perform some street magic. Doesn't make much but I can make about $250 a day.
