I've been playing around with the idea of living off the grid, unfortunately the idea requires that I work on the grid to save up enough money before I can live off said grid.
I will eventually strive to be self-sufficient. I will have my own land, I will have my own water, I will have my own electricity, and I will have my own food. This will require a lot of work and planning but the payoff will be worth it to me.
See, I've never liked the idea of working my ass off to make some other person rich. I've been working since I was 16 and I've worked a lot of jobs from customer service (fast food, gas stations, etc.) to manual labor (factory work, assembly, etc.) and I've come to learn that the reason I am doing this is because I need the money to pay for necessities such as a house, food, water, and electricity. If I can get all of that on my own, I'd have it made. Thus, my motto was born...
"Work to live, not live to work."
The unfed mind devours itself. - Gore Vidal
