I think it was from /v/. Someone posted their pvp pics from WoW or something stupid and there was a reply with a dude in a d helm saying "FEAR MY PIXELS NIGGA." Followed by a link.
Never looked back and I do indeed fear his pixels, nigga

Saw some thread with a couple links to the game and the old wiki.

wanting to get some new blood in here.

Might not be too terrible an idea to make a thread on /v/, it's a fast moving board so if the threads bumped a good amount of people might check H&H out idk.

Thought about but at this point figured anyone on 4chan has probably heard about it ad nauseum and would just rpely with "Blah blah it sucks" and so on.

Advertising would be more effective if it weren't for the current lag. If the lag was ever dealt with, I'm sure many more people would stay.

I've tried getting people from v to form a settlement, but they're aware (and scared) of the russian players

I was on GT forums and the guys there told me to get my ass onto HnH and try it so I have been playing since w3.

My oldest brother told me about it, told me
how this character named "Delamore" was able
to make people pay to live in a certain area.
When they didn't pay he sent people in and
killed everyone. A few people complained that
they were killed despite paying, Delamore had
responded
"Your death was a shame" and continued on.



Obviously the idea of permadeath and a player
made world with player made politics and factions
was intriguing to me... so i joined the game with
my brother, and ventured forth into the world...
only to meet a player of a major faction quickly
and within a month be a part of Xanadu, only rival
to Wayneville, if they even were... as death was
lurking so casually, consequences more severe,
weekly updates, and walls of paper. W1 began it all

The game had me, and is very enjoyable as long as
you find and respect your own playstyle
