Huh? Did I miss some sudden change in the devs attitude? Last time I checked Jorb was a drama vampire, he feasts on our fights.

Haha, fair enough, Apocalypse.

My girlfriend actually has something of a crush on Phreak, and I think Riot are cool folks for making League what it is in the first place--I started playing at least a year and a half ago (whenever Xin's release week was), and whether it was just my level then or what, the community seemed much less jaded.

But these days, what with the whole "professional gaming circuit" thing and all... it just doesn't feel the same. :C

... Still, armored bear? That shit is whack.

(And I know, the Haven community isn't great. They stole my--*cough*.)

I guess I'm not an expert, burg--it didn't come from the dev so much as the... where WAS it that I heard cutting down apple trees was considered rude to new players? I thought to myself "Huh, that is just COOL!"

Oh that is a very, very old rule. Back in those days the standard terrain was grassland and not forest so there was a clinical shortage of trees at all times.

Trust me, the devs thrive on the drama HnH produces and you should be aware that it does produce the very samea lot. Your complaint in the other thread is just a start. You will get robbed from, your stuff will get griefed, you will probably get murdered a couple of times. Until you get the hang of the game, wall yourself in with some sturdy bricks and be paranoid as all hell. It is the beauty and the damnation of the game.

Oh, no problem, burg. It was more a comedy post than anything. ;o

I'm more than used to it with games. There is no law!

If I didn't want to get stolen from, I would have stuck to Dungeon Mastering! >o

Really, though, in a game where there is no law in place, where can you expect anything but anarchy? From what I can see, the two devs play as a comedy funny-man-straight-man duo! And while I'd never say it to their face, I don't have to--they don't patrol the forums. |>

The devs actually wanted to see if there could be anything else than anarchy (this is their little social experiment) and at least in past worlds of the game there has been. Right now it has changed to a constant state of war between the big guns though. Not sure how easily you can avoid that as a lonely hermit since I haven't been playing in some time.

Hmm, that's quite interesting. I'd love to see how it plays out... truly a social experiment.
